freedom3There are a lot of religions, sects and movements in the world; though not all of them deliver souls from slavery, sin and hell. There is only One that can set free from anything and Jesus is His name. There may be many ways in which people seek freedom and fulfillment, but none of them offer everlasting life and God himself dwelling among them as Christianity.

What Jesus did in the Cross gave Him authority over everything; to set free captives, to heal the sick, to restore the broken, to bring joy to the depressive, to sanctify sinners and to brake any yoke of darkness. Only trough Jesus salvation can be found. There is no other way of going to heaven. No matter how attractive seem other gods, they can’t offer what Jesus can: true freedom. (more…)

“And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives..” Romans 6:4 (NLT).

A sad face, a Christian looking to find himself with the death, living as if he had never met Jesus is not God’s will. Half living and having business with sin and death is not part of the new life Jesus paid for us. For those that were once condemned by sin and now saved by Jesus should be living joyful. Every person redeemed by Christ is called to live in fulfillment, with joy in their hearts and perpetual freedom.

A Christian that allows sin in his/her life is limiting the living waters Jesus paid for them. By keeping sin that person is building his/her life in a foundation of death. (more…)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life..” John 3:16

For the people that received the law from God the Cross was the punishment well deserved to a prophet from Nazareth that went crazy and assured to be the Christ of God. He who prophets had told would redeem them from their yoke. But they did not recognize him.

For the empire that ruled in that time the Cross was what a “rebel” deserved, for he and a group of fisherman, tax collectors and prostitutes challenged them with the asseveration that a higher kingdom that could not been seen existed.

For the religious leaders of Jerusalem the Cross was the consequence that a retired carpenter lost his mind and proclaimed himself the Son of God. (more…)

2 Corinthians 5:7 “That is why we live by believing and not by seeing” (NLT)

I consider myself one of God´s favorites; for He has allowed me to receive all of his promises by believing in Him with all my heart. In His word I found all the strength and braveness that I needed. I look back 5 years ago, and all I see is a lost being that found a light in the darkness, that led his path to freedom.

I discovered that the only way to get God´s favor is to walk by faith. I believed in what it could not be seen, I had to believe that it was not only a dream that experience of salvation. I had to believe the Lord spoke to me; even though people called me a nut. I learned that having faith is not exactly thinking, but going forward when you see nothing at all.

Believing in God is holding tight with all your heart to the freedom you received, and facing the fears that poison your soul. Believing in God means obedience, and leave behind our sinful nature. I learned to surrender totally to His plans, and allowed Him to take me to the promise land. I learned that after pain, comes a hug of our loving Father.  (more…)

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6 (New International Version)

Once in my life I was lost, so lost that salvation was not an option for me. I hit hard bottom because of the messy live I had lived. Being griped by darkness makes you believe that there is no way out. I had wasted my God given life and sin was collecting its bill. King Alcohol took it all, he had reign over my family for centuries. He devastated every family, every mind, and every will and now he had taken my life.

During the day thousand of insane thoughts sparked anxiety; and at night, terror would not let rest my tired soul. I realized that you don’t have to wait afterlife to experience hell. 8 months of complete darkness and torment every day. Every now and then the enemy would appear in nightmares and used to tell me: There is no way out. (more…)
