“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”  2 Corinthians 5:17 (New Living Translation).

In regards of the new life Jesus offers, He expects it to actually be totally new; and not a mix between the past and the new. The key to having a life totally new is to believe with all your heart that it’s about Jesus, not about you. “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:4-5 New Living Translation

Comprehending correctly what Jesus did in the Cross for the believers brings forth a pure heart and a powerful living. With no condemnation or judgment to be received, but a life lived out of gratitude to God. A believer still trying to earn God´s blessings trough works rather than faith is not God´s will, and this causes affliction to an already set free soul. (more…)
