freedom3There are a lot of religions, sects and movements in the world; though not all of them deliver souls from slavery, sin and hell. There is only One that can set free from anything and Jesus is His name. There may be many ways in which people seek freedom and fulfillment, but none of them offer everlasting life and God himself dwelling among them as Christianity.

What Jesus did in the Cross gave Him authority over everything; to set free captives, to heal the sick, to restore the broken, to bring joy to the depressive, to sanctify sinners and to brake any yoke of darkness. Only trough Jesus salvation can be found. There is no other way of going to heaven. No matter how attractive seem other gods, they can’t offer what Jesus can: true freedom. (more…)

Sometimes it seems like the situation we are living is so hard and no one else faces situations as hard as the ones we got to face.

The thing is that when problems hit our life, our emotions and feelings make us believe that our world is falling apart and that there is nothing to be done.

We are living a story written by God himself, the same God that once looked for us when we were lost. He found us, He called us, and He forgave all of our sins and gave us a new opportunity in life.

In that same moment God commenced to reedit our story, he started to write every chapter in a way He considered perfect and whole, maybe at a times we will feel that what we are living is stronger than we are, but the reality is that God already tested your endurance and knows how much you can handle. What happens when you start forgetting why do you do it? I mean, it used to be the greatest privilege and now it has become a burden. Living for God without Jesus is consuming. Family is still out there, ministry, work and the task list, though the joy is missing.

A Christian living without Jesus is simply a gun with no bullets, an eagle with wounded wings, a car with no engine, a singer that lost his voice. It’s a life with no meaning at all. Its leaving the Jesus factor out of our lives.

Jesus said it this way:

“Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.” Revelation 2:4  New International Version (NIV) (more…)

“Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5

The most common mistake of missing out God´s blessings is not to dimension accurately what Jesus did on the Cross. Jesus not only paid the price of salvation for all humanity, but for them to be whole, healed an at all times in peace. Nevertheless to receive it, we have to believe it. (more…)
