Currently, at least in our country, Argentina; applies a strict prohibition regarding the use of animals in circus acts. Specifically I remember the lion tamer in a cage with a wild beast, where the “grand finale” performance was to make the lion open his mouth and the tamer would get his head inside of it.
I do not know if there were any tricks or “little secret” to get his head unscratched and be able to hear in one piece the audience’s applause after such recklessness. The truth is that in the course of history this act, more than once went wrong and some animal tamers in the circus did not come out of their lion safely. Moreover, some also lost the life before the wild rush of an animal of nearly four times the weight of the daring trainer.
Believers, who have made the choice to obey God’s call and be in any way, a blessing to others, sometimes we forget the reality that we live literally with our head inside the jaws of a lion (more…)
