Rejoice for you will be blessed.
James 1: 2, 3 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”
Every day since we get up till we go to bed, we are in a spiritual battle that confronts our faith. Personally I think that trials are situations that help us to grow spiritually.
When James mentions the phrase: “Count it all joy when ye fall into various trials”, the first thing that comes to our minds “how can I rejoice when we are facing trials”
I believe that none of us like to be in the midst of trials, but if we reflect for a moment about the inherent truths in this passage, we’ll realize the following:
James speaks of a JOY, but let’s not confuse happiness with JOY, the JOY that James is talking about is the one that no matter the trials you are having; the smile on your face could not be wiped away, , he do not speaks of laughter, but speaks of keeping our faith in God and it is obvious that if you keep your faith and trust in the Lord , you will also keep the JOY in your life, then you have the conviction that if God is with you, who can be against you?
My friend, possibly through the trials of life you will want to mourn, and is not something out of this world, but one thing is mourning because I’m human and I feel bad, but another thing is that my spirit trusts God and that will keep the joy in my life.
Trials will always be, big, small, feel free to categorize them, but what if I can tell you that amid all these trials in your life, there is someone who has not forgotten you, there’s someone who loves you and ensures that you will not be tempted more than you could bear, there is someone who tells you that you are strong and good of courage, there’s someone telling you: Fear not, for I go before you facing the mighty giants and that someone is God.
The trials of life will only serve to build character in you as servant, God allows some difficult situations come into your life, but He also knows that if you trust in Him, then there is nothing to fear. Job was tested in an unusual way, but he kept his joy, that is, that is to say he trusted in the Lord and was rewarded double.
Perhaps you feel very bad, for all the things in your life that have been happening, but this time I say: “Fear not, God is there,” even though you can not see, He is there, and has never left you, do not forget you have someone you can trust and protects you. God wants to build your self-patience, that patience that will help you being a great blessing to many, because that experience that you are going trough; later will help others who are going through the same thing that you came trough.
God has chosen you, because he has seen special characteristics in you that can be very valuable to his deed.
So James said: “Count it all joy”, it means: “you will be a blessing,” God will use you long after you pass that trial, and remember that always after a flood; there is the sign of the covenant which is a beautiful rainbow. There is nothing to worry about.
