“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life..” John 3:16

For the people that received the law from God the Cross was the punishment well deserved to a prophet from Nazareth that went crazy and assured to be the Christ of God. He who prophets had told would redeem them from their yoke. But they did not recognize him.

For the empire that ruled in that time the Cross was what a “rebel” deserved, for he and a group of fisherman, tax collectors and prostitutes challenged them with the asseveration that a higher kingdom that could not been seen existed.

For the religious leaders of Jerusalem the Cross was the consequence that a retired carpenter lost his mind and proclaimed himself the Son of God. Also the just wages, for he who healed the sick on  Sabbath.

For everyone that has the enemy´s yoke the Cross is madness. Or is something that is hanged in their necks for good luck.

However…..there are many for which the Cross has meant everything.

The Cross meant the paradise to the thief being crucified together with Jesus. It was the longed rest for a life wrong lived. It was the biggest reward no one could pay, but his crucifixion partner. For the soldier that pierced Jesus side the Cross was the sign that said man truly was the Son of God.  For he that cries out desperate in dark room about to take his life away, the Cross became his only salvation.  For the one whose soul was shattered by a hard life the Cross was the only thing that could restore him. For the one that has lost his mind the Cross was what paid the price to heal him.  For the one that was tormented by demons the Cross was the longed rest for his soul and the only thing with sufficient power to liberate him.

For everyone who has believed in Jesus the Cross has been the only thing that gave them a new and eternal life.

Tell me,  ¿What is the Cross for you?
