God gives talents, gifts, and skills to each of his children to extend the Kingdom of Heaven through earth. Reflect with me about a woman who was strong and courageous in a time when her people suffered slavery and oppression.

Esther was a woman full of grace and God given talents as: humbleness, wisdom, compassion and courage. Aside this, she was very wise when it came to discerning when and how was the right timing to influence a nation. She was favored by the king. And this allowed her to deliver an entire nation of imminent extermination.

But time before she reigned, she had to be prepared physically and spiritually to deliver her loved nation. She knew how to find grace before the king. At first she did not consider herself worthy of accomplishing great things, but what mattered at the end was the fact that she had been chosen by the Most High God.

She lived for a long time with her cousin Mordecai, as her tutor. She learned how to respect his authority and embraced his wisdom. She understood that he wanted nothing but the best for her (just as God does for us). The he was her advisor; challenging her to accept the Lord´s calling, telling her:

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”  Esther 4:14 (New International Version, ©2010)

She was humble at heart and wise for she obeyed Mordecai´s advice. When she knew about Haman´s plan to destroy Jews; she kept in touch with Mordecai, she pleaded mercy for her people and proclaimed a fast for 3 days, preparing them for spiritual battle.

She honored the king by approaching him with passion and conviction at his feet, pleading for her nation, the Jews. The king was moved to compassion and a whole nation was liberated, and Haman hanged.

God rises up powerful men and women to liberate his people, and uses them as chess pieces strategically to fulfill his will.

It is possible that the Lord already reveled to you the purpose of your life, and even though you are not fulfilling that purpose at this time, you have to believe that ever since you were a child you have been in training by his incorruptible will. Before fulfilling your purpose the Lord has to make sure that you are becoming one with Him. The most important training is that you get to really know the King´s heart.

Every single detail of your life is part of His plan, for God is strategic. It may appear to your sight that you may not have influence or that you are not very talented, but the truth is the Kingdom of God is within you, waiting to be released. I refer to all the things inside your heart that passion you, that burn to be released and used.

God sees you as a powerful weapon in His arsenal, and the decision of being courageous and believing him is only up to you, Esther had the option to be silent but her nation would have paid for it.  God looks for those with hunger to produce huge impact to entire nations.

And this is not according to your own understanding of your talents or capability, but the way God sees you as a master peace of his divine chess game and whether or not you accept his calling.

It’s you and only you, you were chosen by God, you do know it since a while ago and it’s burning even more now. Stop worrying, just live it. Be diligent and let the Holy Spirit guide you. The key to fulfill your purpose is discerning when and how to influence; the rest is up to God.   –
