How good is to remember that Jesus already paid it all with his shed blood. He gave himself so we could have an abundant life without carrying faults, past, oppression, or any kind of slavery. It is really a shame that in our daily waking we still found Christians carrying burdens of which our Lord already paid for. Then , the question is: What did it mean the Cross? , Why did God die and gave us salvation, if we rejected that precious gift?
The word of God says: “Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 (New International Version)
Don’t you think it sound hard? –yes, it is. And the worst of it is that many times we don’t appreciate it, neither can we understand the great love of God.
If you have already identified things that keep you in captivity, then give them to Jesus!, do not let time go by, for your heart could hardened and you may not see the magnitude of sin.
Do not grip yourself to suffering and slavery. Or, are you going to tell me that you were happy when you were there?
Ask God forgiveness for you have not appreciate his sacrifice of the Cross, for you have offended him, for justifying yourself on and on. You were so full of ego, and now you have to realize once again that it is not about you, but since the very beginning and forever it is about Him. Many times fear or insecurity would rise when God is transforming you, and it is important to remember that God’s yoke is easy and His burden is light. Mathew 11:30. It is not his will that you “keep skeletons in the closet”. He already gave you victory. Believe it. His plan is for you to go forward everyday:
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1 (New International Version)
If God is talking to you about the same subject once again, believe me, He is interested in you to move on. Do not avoid it. Do not be like the ones that almost touch the price but “it” was stronger than them and failed. I know a lot of persons that are going trough this situation, God had something great for them, but because of fear and being stuck to their past, they simply lost what God had for them.
We have a race ahead of us, help those struggling and give them a word of hope, while we are alive there is still a chance, but you have to be brave and live the life that you have been called to live. The rest of your life, not only a few years.
He does not remember your past. He erased it, you don’t have to do anything so He loves you, neither suffering, for his sacrifice was because of love; and the best of it, is that HE PAID IT ALL, your past is legally erased. You don’t even have to pay interest.
You were created by Him to do good works. Not to suffer, or living as a slave. The Lord wants to write that in your heart, to seal it in your mind. And day by day showing you his love. You just have to look at the sky, look outside your window, and take some time to be with him so you can hear all the things he has been telling…though you could not hear.
